It was during World War II when Zippo became more well-known when they gave black crackle Zippos to the G.I.s in the frontlines. Since then, Zippo rose in popularity gradually after the World War. Here are some of the designs which i have collected over the years

I have always found Japan designed Zippos interesting. They come in all kinds of colours, logos, designs. To sum it up, Japanese are one of the most creative people I have seen! I have come across a number of interesting and nice Japan designed Zippos and am proud to showcase them here.

LIMITED EDITIONS

Over the years, Zippo USA has come up with limited runs of certain designs, from 100 pieces to over tens of thousands per designs. The more well-known collectibles are the Collectibles of the Year (COTY). And because of these limited runs, some of the limited editions rose up in value as soon as Zippo USA is sold out!

One of the more popular and famous company which designs Zippos since the 1990s. Since the introduction of Zippos to China, the values of these Zippos have risen a few folds due to the limited supply.

Zippo Canada (Niagara Falls)

Zippo Canada was setup in 1949, and closed in 2002.
As it was a part of Zippo's history, i collected a few of the more special ones.

TOBACCO ZIPPOS

Since late 1970s, Zippo has collaborated with Tobacco brands, its popularity soared amongst smokers. Zippo and Marlboro came up with Marlboro rewards, allowing Marlboro smokers to collect points with every purchase of tobacco products and exchanging them for Zippos. Ever since the Labelling and Advertising Act for Tobacco Products, Zippo stopped producing Tobacco designed lighters and these Zippos became more valuable than ever.

ZIPPO ASIA DESIGNS

In recent years, ever since the rise of China, Zippo has shifted its focus to the East side of the world. In 2012, Zippo established their Asian headquarters in mainland, China. Zippo Asia then became the main distributor for Zippo lighters in Asia. Ever since then, Zippo Asia has come up with more and more ingenious designs, producing Zippos which are much sought after by Western collectors.
